I see all these established old world politicians, news casters and others with privilege as spoiled brats whose fathers give them whatever they want. They don't have to earn it. They just get to rule over others who could rule circles around them if given an opportunity. I liked PM St. Laurent, but he was still the establishment. His family is an embarrassment to Canada.

I always laugh and shake my head when I hear anything about Louis St. Laurent, II.
You have a man who defected from Canada to be in the States. He has no worthy honors of his own but relies on his very great, great grandfather for his resume.
If you recall, back in the 80's he was bragging about how he was controlling the drug industry and the U.S. attorneys' office was even investigating him for his convicted friend, a Sheriff he supported, made regular "visits" to the keys. St Laurent II bragged about it and how he started a smear campaign and got Canadians to follow him just because of his grand dad's name. I found it to be disgraceful to do that to to his grand dad like that.
During that time, if I remember he also went bankrupt (he had more than one).
Then he took money from his clients meant for deposit into a land deal. Also, http://fall.fsulawrc.com/flsupct/75686/75686ror.pdf, He lied to them and then kept the money. But for his father's name, he would have been kicked out of the bar. Instead he got suspended because they say he "showed remorse." He showed so much remorse that he then tried to discharge his debt to them in bankruptcy and even appealed a well known law that states that when fraud or crimes are involved, you cannot discharge your debt (In re Louis S. St. Laurent, II). Of course he lost.
He has had other bar reprimands for misconduct. See the latest before he went into semi retirement. He always has an excuse. Something bad mitigated the damages . . .story after story. But then he shows no remorse. He delights in being able to manipulate people dragging his grandfather's name through the mud over and over again.
Why do we support him? Is that the best we have? Let that one fly the coup and never look back!
